How to choose the best ‘Cornhole’ team names?

The best part of playing ‘The cornhole’ is actually this one: coming up with a name for your team. Creativity has no limits, especially when the name of the game allows for a lot of puns, jokes, and innuendos. ‘Corn’, ‘bag’, ‘maize’, ‘kernel’, ad ‘hole’ are the perfect kickoffs. Use your imagination to come up with a name that’s representative for your team. You can go for a word game, use an inside joke, be funny, or just use something simple & clean. Before deciding upon a name, take into account the following:

  • The team name should only be chosen after everyone agrees with it.
  • The name which is chosen by all the players should fit the context and, at the same time, show the character of every member of the team.
  • The name of the team should not overlap with another team’s choice. the name of any other team.
  • The team name should be easy to pronounce and remember by everyone involved in the game.

How do you play the ‘Cornhole’?

Materials and equipment

‘Cornhole’ reminds us of another group game, ‘Horseshoes’, but this one is much easier to set up and much safer. ‘Horseshoes’ requires a bunch of supplies such as sandpits, metal stakes, and heavy horseshoes. ‘Cornhole’ on the other hand, involves only some soft bags filled with corn, and portable wooden platforms, making it a great camping activity for adults and a great team-building game for kids as well.

Setting

Long story short, ‘Cornhole’ is about throwing bags filled with corn or beans at an elevated platform with a hole in it. To play this game, you will need at least 2 people and 2 boards with a hole in their upper middle part. These boards must be placed at a certain angle so that all players can see.

Cornhole Game Rules

Now that you have your setting, players can start throwing bags through the hole. Whoever nails it, gets 3 points. If the bag lands on the platform but doesn’t go through the hole, they get 1 point. The first player or team who gets 21 points wins the round. You can play as many rounds as you wish.

Players

You can play ‘Cornhole’, your mom can do it too, your brother or your sister, your best friend, even your granny! In other words, anyone can play ‘Cornhole’. This is a fun activity that challenges your hand-eye coordination and stirs up competition among participants. It is great for parties, backyard gatherings, family outdoor reunions, picnics, and even school recreations.

Watch out though, ‘The cornhole’ is perfect all warm-season long. Not that you couldn’t play it in winter, but it might be a bit tough to get things up and running if it’s chilly outside. For the cold season, eTeamBuilding has prepared for you other fun games that can be played indoors. Check them out! 👇🏼
